--"I have found out that there ain't no surer way to find out whether you like people or hate them than to travel with them." --Mark Twain
Do you agree or disagree with Mark Twain?
I very much agree with Mark Twain's quote because when you are around someone daily you don't see the full side of them. When you are with that person maybe locked in a car or hotel room that is when you truly learn of someones identity. They may put up a good show when you see them day to day but when trapped with them things come out. There have been a many of times that I may go on a trip with the church youth group and thing it is going to be a great time with that person but ends in other ways because they tend to bring out a different side to them that I am not used to while I am with them at church. This also has been the same when traveling with family. But when traveling I have noticed that this doesn't happen as much with guys than with girls, guys usually tend to have a great time no matter what, its the girls that go off on a trip and come back hating one another. Everyone is different though, and have different situations that may arise such things.

Spring
--What does Spring make you think about? How does spring make you feel?
Springs make me think about the birth of a new world, ridding of the old and the beggining of the new. Buds and Leaves are coming on to the trees and bushes and making everything pretty and full of life. It makes me think of baseball and fishing and swimming, biking and running; all of the great things that I love to do. It makes me want to start training for races and triatholons, I am able to get out in the fresh cool air after fridged winter. I am able to go visit my brother and do some quallity fishing with him and dad. Spring makes me feel great, the cool breeze in the air. You can start working in the yard again, taking off my shirt and adding some color to that pale skin that had been wrapped up all winter. It makes me feel new and fresh, like a new person. All four seasons have there pro's and con's, and great in their own way, but by the time spring roles around I am definitly ready for it.

What would life be like without potatoes?
--People in England in Chaucer's day did not know what a potato was and so could never have eaten chips or fries or mashed.
Life without potatoes, what an interesting question. Potatoes are such a big part of Americans food and also a key in "fast food." Potatoes has been a healthy vegitable that has turned unhealthy by Americans culture. We take them and load them down with oils, butter, flour type batters, and make them really a delisious vegetable. A regular old potato, plain by itself really isn't all that great, its when spiceing it up that it changes everything. A potato is a root and how can a root be so good. Without potatoes how could we ever have made that good ol' down home country cookin'. Potatoes are the soul to the South. There are so many things that you can do with potatoes and they are all so good. So for me I would have to say that potatoes have been a big part of my moms country cookin' and would feel that something was missing if there was no longer and potatoes in this world.

“Love is blind.”—Geoffrey Chaser
—What do you think? Blind or not?
In many ways I think that love is blind. I think that love is blind because there are so many people that while they are in love they feel that all kinds of things feel right to do until they realize they don’t love that person anymore and they regret all of those things. When a person is in love they are blind to all of the bad qualities that that particular person possesses. While in love they only see the good which is good but never any of the bad. This is the sole reason behind why many marriages are split up by divorce. I know for a fact that when I am interested in someone I see all of these good qualities and never any bad which ultimately I feel that that person will be great for me, when my family is sitting over here telling me all of the bad, but I am blind to this and don’t believe them. Which later I regret ever doubting my family because they are always right, and I could have saved myself all kinds of hard-ace. But I am only a human and I am a learner of my mistakes.

Laughter!!
—How does laughter unify us? Why is it important? Why is it contagious? Why is it amusing?
--Laughter is a wonderful thing, it brings us closer together, it picks somebody up when they are down, it brings life to a party. Laughter is something that can change many things. How would I say that laughter will unify us, well I would say that when someone makes a joke or is laughing about something it sort of lossens the stress in the air or gives people that chance to let go of whatever maybe holding them back and become a part of the group or party. Laughter unifies us an many different levels of problems. I would say that laughter is important because it can bring a sense of security to the environment and bring us together when the going gets rough. It is improtant because without laughter what would be our joy in life, laughter can change anything. I would now say that laughter is contagious because when someone starts laughing, you can't help but smile, or join the bandwagon and laugh with them. Even when someone makes a joke that you don't hear and everyone starts laughing you usually can't help but to join in with them unless you think it has something to do with you. Some would say that laughter is contaigious because you may be laughing at someone else's laughter, but who really knows why laughter is contaigious. Laughter is amusing because it will help you to get over something bad in your life and just watching other people laugh can be amusing.

What qualities do you like in a leader?
—As you grow and change throughout the course of your life, there are people that lead and there are people that follow. These people will pick up a particular set of qualities that will make them either become a leader or else a follower. Qualities that I look for in a leader are being able to take charge and make something happen when the project at hand is not going exactly the way planned or when someone just needs to take the lead and get something done. A leader is a person in charge, an organizer, the head of an event, boss, or director, etc. A leader needs to be understanding and be able to help those that fall behind or those that have a hard time concentrating or keeping up. A leader will go back and account for those with problems; they will be an extra hand to anyone that is in need.

Precipitancy creates prodigality. (Haste makes waste)
First figure out the more familiar version of this proverb(i.e. how is it usually said)
Describe an experience where you found this proverb to be true. Has being in a hurry ever paid off? Has it made matters worse?
—The more familiar version of this proverb “Precipitancy creates prodigality” would be Haste makes waste. An experience where I found this proverb to be true was just in everyday life. I find that anytime someone makes haste out of something that doesn’t matter or is just making trouble, then it will turn into waste, something that you wish you never did or something that is just maybe hurt someone in any kind of way. This would also refer to the fact that once when I was running a little late to cross country practice I started to go over the speed limit not thinking it would be a problem but just then a police officer came from nowhere and caught my speed and pulled me over for a rather pricy ticket. No I cannot say that being in a hurry pays off because it just gets you into a bad mood or in trouble somehow, or you just put someone else at a risk or in danger. Yes, haste makes waste can make matters worse because it just doesn’t help in anyway.

"Friendship Doubles Joy and Halves Grief"--egypt
What does this Egyptian proverb mean to you? Can you describe a situation where this proverb has been true in your life or that of someone else?
--This Egyptian proverb to me means that when you put yourself out there to search and find friendship you will have more joy in your life that will result in a decrease in grief. The more joy you have in your life the less grief that will be there to get at you. So therefore if you double the joy in your life then it will half your grief. Its like a weighing scale, as one side goes down the other goes up. Yes, this proverb proves true to everyone around the world everyday. I absolutley hate school, i don't want to be here, the only reason that gets me through is the fact that I am bettering my education and the friends that I have here. So that is an example of making something that is not so great to something much better.

Which family member do you relate to most?
--I have a mother, father, a brother and two sisters that I can relate to all in their own way and the different things that we do together. But the member of my family that I feel that I relate to the most would have to be my brother. Not that I relate to the rest of my family very much but me and my brother do so much together and that is the same. As I was growing up he was always there to take me hunting, always there when I killed my first deer, duck, squirrel, etc. We went fishing all the time together. We are both outgoing, and can bring a smile to any crowd when we get to know you except it doesn’t matter who it is for my brother. We are best friends.
What does your family mean to you and why?
--My family means the world to me, they are everything to me, and the most important part of my life other than my Lord and Savior. My family and I have such a close relationship that astonishes others, they say that we are different. At first I heard this as a young child and didn’t like it, I thought my family was just like others, but as I grow a face the ways of the world and see that this is a good thing to be different. I see that being different is not a bad thing, it’s a way of saying that I’m glad that I am not like the rest of the world because most of them are headed down the wrong road, the road that is wide rather than the narrow way that leads to life. All during growing up me and my family have done everything together.
